About the webinar
In this webinar, we discussed how and where GenAI is being used in underwriting and provided helpful guidelines designed to optimise the impact and accuracy of GenAI outcomes. Topics included:
- Getting the diet right – AI and GenAI feed on a data diet. Only good data quality and data governance will ensure balanced and healthy AI outcomes.
- Completeness, Correctness and Consistency – the importance of standardised and consistent terminology for accurate and reliable results.
- Getting the approach right – the respective merits of applying a “bottom-up” approach (we have data, we have tech, so we will get good solutions) v “top-down” (what is the best way to provide something valuable and impactful for our underwriters).
- User Experience – in the context of GenAI, what is it, what is the benefit, and what is required?
- Designing the right KPIs to apply to AI projects, including on efficiency, effectiveness, talent, etc.
- Automation v Insights – AI is driving two different use cases: increased automation for greater efficiency and improved insights for better decisioning. How do you prioritise?
- Managing the speed of change – AI spawned GenAI and now we’re already moving into AgenticAI – what next?
