About the event

After an earthquake, reinsurers, brokers and risk managers need accurate data to quickly assess damage and loss potential, both at individual site level – and across a portfolio.

We are bringing together an outstanding panel to discuss the best sources of information available throughout the world, and where and how these are most effective for different use cases.

You will hear directly from the founders of Shakemap (part of the USGS) and Safehub, along with practical examples of parametric insurance for earthquake offered by Liberty Mutual Reinsurance. Matthew Grant, InsTech’s CEO, will be moderating, bringing personal experience from assessing earthquake loss for over 35 years.

Panel

  • David Wald, Seismologist, USGS National Earthquake Information Center
  • Jean-Christophe Garaix, Head of Parametrics, Liberty Mutual Reinsurance
  • Andy Thompson, CEO, Safehub

Moderated by:
