Reask gains funding to develop global hazard models 

The new investment, led by Chinese technology company Tencent, will support the development of Reask’s AI-based models to help reinsurers deal with the increasing frequency and losses from catastrophe events and climate risks. We interviewed Reask for Episode 127 of the InsTech London podcast and they will be joining us on stage in March.

Tractable launches smartphone solution for assessing property damage

The new AI Property tool enables users to submit photos of property damage to be assessed by Tractable’s AI platform before being sent to insurers. The technology has been used by MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings in Japan to process claims from Typhoon Mindulle and will now be available in North America.

Motor insurer Zego targets further European expansion

Zego is looking to expand its reach in Europe after launching in the Netherlands and expanding operations in France. The commercial motor insurer is also working on a new product to help companies reduce their fleet insurance premiums. 

KYND secures £3.25m investment

The funding from growth capital investor BGF will be used to accelerate KYND’s global expansion plans and further the development of its API-based risk insights platform.
