AXA XL partners with Assurely to offer Crowdfunding Protection Insurance
We like crowdfunding, but it’s not without risk, so it’s encouraging to see a new type of insurance being launched by AXA XL in collaboration with Assurely. The new CrowdProtector product helps safeguard new online capital formation strategies, including equity crowdfunding and security token offerings.

Chain That creates the Bermuda Insurance Exchange
Revolutionary or evolutionary? A new blockchain risk and capital exchange for the insurance and reinsurance market will be launched by our members Chain That in July. The exchange will allow broker, reinsurance and insurance companies access to the capital markets using blockchain.
Supply chain risk – still hard to quantify
Understanding the Business Interruption risk, and physical damage associated with supply chains is still as much art as it is science, yet it’s a massive exposure for insurers. Zurich Insurance recently announced a partnership with riskmethods GmbH, to provide the insurer’s commercial clients with new supply chain and risk management services.
Are wildfire models failing?
Swiss Re think so. Swiss Re is collaborating with MIT and sees advantages in utilising real-time data to complement probabilistic wildfire models in it’s recent white paper.
