About this event

Enthusiasm for digitising the London market goes in waves and in 2025, the surf is definitely up. The levels of enthusiasm are a function of many diverse influences:

  • Economic necessity
  • Availability of investment funds
  • Competitive pressures (both real and perceived)
  • Advances in technology
  • Increasing data maturity

Since Ki Syndicate was launched back in 2021, the market has increased its interest in the use of automation, algorithms, digital distribution of data, new business models and products. Artificial has been one of the key technology players in this space, experiencing rapid growth and emerging as a key partner for both brokers and carriers over the past few years. The progressive element of the market, both broker and carrier, is investing in these new capabilities and starting to reap the rewards.  Perhaps for the first time ever, there is a sense that both brokers and carriers might be aligned around a future vision and that it’s being driven by the market participants themselves and not from the centre. The combination of these forces means that after several false dawns, there is a stronger sense than ever before that this might be the moment in which the market evolves into one that is genuinely digital first.

This event looked at the dynamics that are driving this new desire for change and examine the potential consequences including:

  • What are the advantages of being an early mover?
  • What are the consequences for those who remain sceptical and left behind?
  • What technologies, services and skills are required to be successful?
  • What are the opportunities for the technology and data service providers?

This event was co-hosted with Google Cloud and sponsored by Ki Insurance and Artificial Labs. All three companies have played roles in fermenting this new wave of digitisation by showing what can be done with the latest in AI-based data services, algorithms and new business models. They shared with us what they’re seeing by way of demand from clients and their thoughts on how they see the market evolving.
