To celebrate the launch of MIC Global’s Lloyd’s Syndicate-in-a-Box (Syndicate 5183), we held an event to look at what is happening in embedded microinsurance and other related areas.

The event, held at The Steel Yard in London, featured insights on some of the latest products to come to market, where the worlds of microinsurance and Lloyd’s come together and where the opportunities lie.

Sponsors MIC Global appeared on stage to share some practical examples from the companies they work with, the design of the products that are working well, distribution challenges and how embedded insurance works in practice.

The event also showcased a selection of early stage MGA propositions who shared insights and advice on what they are doing to obtain capacity and the issues they are facing.

InsTech’s Robin Merttens and Matthew Grant were joined on stage by:

  • Harry Croydon, CEO, MIC Global
  • Richard Leftley, Board Advisor, MIC Global
  • Antonio Pedro, Innovation Underwriter, MIC Global
  • Simon Torrance, Founder and CEO, Embedded Finance & Super App Strategies
  • Michael P. Murphy, KM., President and Chief Strategy Officer, InsureTek

  • Jamie Webb, Managing Director, Costero Brokers Ltd
  • Nick Rugg, Senior Underwriter – Financial Institutions and Fintech, Markel
  • Niall Barton, Co-founder and Executive Chairman, Wrisk
